Coolest Female Joker Homemade Costume

Last Halloween, I was really excited to do this costume, because I always pick a theme for every year. This year’s theme was  [“Male Characters as Females.”], one I had chosen to do was [The Joker], so I had to find a way to transform it to look female. I drew it out, then went on the hunt to find everything I needed.

For the clothes, I bought a tight white button down, a small white vest, a dark purple jacket, and a gold shiny textured tie from Goodwill  (totaling to about $32). Then I went to a craft store and bought light purple and dark olive green clothing dye for the vest and shirt  ($4). I already own purple tights from Forever21 (which I wore as ‘pants’), an olive green bikini bottom from Old Navy (which I wore over the tights), black heels and brown lace-up boots from Forever21 for shoes (I wore each to a different party).

For the head, I sprayed my hair with a minimal amount of water and added a lot of hardening gel to it. I needed the greasy soft curl look. After, I gave it a heavy side part. Then I went outside and sprayed my hair with hairspray and green hair dye from Walmart. I also got the face makeup from Walmart. I used a Halloween kit, and put the white cream scarcely all over my face and put the black in my eyes. I used an olive color for a slight widows peak, to make the side part stand out more, and added white to my hairline. I then used my own lip liner and red lipstick for the mouth. I even used my nails to make “scars” in the make up. (Totaling to about $8)

When I put the costume together, I cut the tie, dyed the clothes, left the shirt buttoned low, I then painted my nails metallic gold and painted black card symbols. Thank you for reading!

(Average Cost: $44)
