Coolest Homemade Hermit Crab Halloween Costume Idea

I used a laundry basket as the base for the shell.  Started with an old sheet cut into 8″ wide strips and sewn into long tubes. Stuffed them with paper and then sewed them to the basket using fishing line.( I tried to hot glue but they wouldn’t stay on.) Next I used paints to decorate the shell.  For the body I sewed legs and pinchers to a set of red pajamas. Then I connected them together with fishing line so they would stay up when he had his hands up.  Used a red stocking cap for his head. Glued on eyes and sewed on pipe cleaners.
