I loved the Despicable Me movie with the Purple Minions, they were so funny. Only thing is I didn’t see a girl version of one so what more inspiring then to make my own. I bought everything at Hobby Lobby, the frame is made of just masking tape and clothes hanger wire. Purple cloth makes the body and I used yarn for the hair. Everything was hand sewn, and hand crafted.
I wore this costume to the Coloween party and got awesome reactions from people, everyone wanted a picture. I love to see people smile so if I got paid in smiles for the night my job was done. It was pretty easy to wear only that I didn’t have access to my hands I didn’t want to cut into the body to make it look more like a minion with the hands hanging at the sides. So smile!!
