DIY Robot Costume that Lights Up!

My son wanted a classic box robot costume. We had a lot of fun putting this together. After attaching the cardboard boxes, we painted, taped, and glued away.

We added bottle caps, print-outs, reflectors, etc. We also added battery operated lights. We used string lights to poke through from the inside. We also used push lights for his eyes and a fiber optic light for hair. We cut out the mouth and ears (for safety) but added black netting to cover. We used this tube material for his arms and legs, but it left him truly walking like a robot!

Next time he wore the robot costume, we ditched them for plain clack clothing.
