At my gym I’ve been given the nickname Keyoncé Kutz because I am super strong and love all things sparkly. For our Halloween dress up day I knew I had to come up with something extra fabulous. I initially got my idea from a Pinterest photo of Beyoncé in an awesome bejeweled bodysuit and decided to recreate it. I started with a blank bodysuit and hand glued each jewel in a colorful mosaic pattern to achieve the desired look. I then handcrafted a “microphone” from household items and spray painted it black and of course gold glitter spray too. I had to have a fabulous shoe too and comfort is key for me. I took some all black hi-top Converse’s and added silver studs and black glitter, yes more glitter. I also then sprayed gold glitter on a pair of black pantyhose. I had so much fun making this costume because I knew the reveal would be awesome. I had to find a way to hide my costume until it was time to reveal Keyoncé Kutz! I showed up to the gym in a full body donut onesie and everyone thought oh that’s cute and they had no idea about my other outfit. As the class gathers up for the day we go around and introduce ourselves so the newbies can get to know people at the gym. I had my friend crank up a classic Beyoncé song and when it was my turn I turned into Keyoncé! I unzipped the onesie and stepped out in all my sparkly glory and danced around as people clapped and cheered for me. Then I proceeded to do the whole Crossfit workout dressed up as Keyoncé Kutz, because I am strong and fabulbous. I loved making the costume because I like to be creative and do DIY projects.
